About Paula Busby RN Consulting, LLC

My name is Paula Busby and I have been a Registered Nurse in NJ for 40 years and have experience in multiple areas of the healthcare industry. My history includes but is not limited to 15 years of hospital nursing in the ICU/Critical care and Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Hospice nursing, Director of Nursing for multiple assisted living companies where I worked with many dementia patients, RN Case manager for a Car Insurance Company for car accident victims, Case Manager for a medical insurance company, and a consultant overseeing group homes for the Association of the Blind and Deaf. Alongside these experiences and roles, my expertise has been in chronic disease management, end of life care, dementia/ Alzheimer’s, geriatric care management, senior home care and making care plans for Activities of Daily Living and Home Safety. Also, assistance with transitions to assisted living or nursing facilities. Throughout my years of experience, the most important part of being a nurse has been by advocating for my patients and their families to make sure they received the best care.

 

I approach my work with compassion and a desire to help others. Having compassion is the upmost important part of nursing because when individuals are facing difficult medical/life situations or families are unsure of what to do, compassion needs to be at the forefront. It’s then that I apply my critical thinking and organizational skills I have learned over the years to assess each situation, personalize a plan to your needs, answer all questions that you may have, and assist you in any steps along the way.

 

Each case starts with a 15-minute free introductory call to meet you, learn about your situation, and come up with a plan to assist and advocate for you so you can have a resolution to the issue you or your loved one may be dealing with. The healthcare system is very confusing and I am the professional that can help you navigate through all the turmoil it entails. I look forward to working with you in the near future.
